The comedian’s semi-autobiographical HBO series Crashing is a glimpse into the comic’s life after his first wife cheated on him, his relationship with faith was fractured, and he decided to pursue comedy full-time. Holmes’ on screen post-breakup life involves a lot of blind-drawing and masturbating, a deliberate choice according to the comedian as he wanted to recreate his experience with heartache authentically on screen.
